MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.- St. Thomas (13-5) took down visiting Bahamas (1-2) by a final score of 79-61 late Monday night at the Fernandez Family Center.
The big man in the middle,
Raheem Bowman, wrapped up a double-double night with 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Bobcats took care of business against the Mingoes.
The first half brought a near perfect shooting game from Bowman as he went 7-for-7 from the field through the first 15 minutes of the half.
The second half had the Bobcats pull away from UB as Timothy Sada and Philip Saunders both closed out their double-digit scoring nights.
Notable numbers on the night from St. Thomas came through the offensive efforts of Bowman (21 points, 10 rebounds [eighth double-double of season]),
Mikon Hewitt (seven assists, three steals), Sada (13 points) and
Mikhail Rolle (seven rebounds).
