LAKE WALES, Fla. - #9 St. Thomas (20-6, 13-3 TSC) won its 20th game ofĀ the season and remained in first place in The Sun Conference with a 94-89 win over Warner (17-10, 8-7 TSC). The Bobcats continued their impressive play and are now winners of 11 of their last 12 games.
Raheem Bowman put up big numbers, scoring 25 points and grabbing 16 rebounds to lead all players. TimothyĀ Sada sank four three-pointers en route to 14 points. Ā
Fotios Malelis scored 14 points as well.Ā
Darwin Trotman dished out a game-high seven assists to go along with 12 points. Ā
Mikon Hewitt added 10 points as the fifth Bobcat to score in double digits in the contest.
STU trailed in the first half, falling behind 24-18 midway through the opening stanza. The Bobcats came back to take a six point lead with three minutes left before the intermission.Ā
STU controlled the game throughout the second half, never trailing. Ā A key moment came with 11 minutes remaining when Sada hit a long-range three-pointer to put the Bobcats up by nine.
St. Thomas controlled the game from there, despite Warner's attempts to come back on the final minutes.
The Bobcats return to action on Saturday at 4 p.m vs. Webber International at the Fernandez Family Center. Ā Senior Day ceremonies will precede Saturday's tip off.
