STU DRAWS IN THOMASVILLE

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – St. Thomas University [3-3, 0-1-1 TSC] draw in a double-overtime match against Thomas University [1-3-2, 0-0-1 TSC].
 
STU was first to get on the board thanks to a goal from Senior Kortney Hinden, who netted her second goal of the season in the 8th minute of the match.
 
The defense led by Kylie Braeseke, Amanda Gordon, Whitney Clark, Nicole Maribona, and keeper Veronica Gonzalez; kept the Nighthawks to only 3 shots in the first half two of which were saves from the freshmen Gonzalez.
 
Thomas' Cara Eaton was able to knot the game at when she scored in the 84th minute.
 
The match was then sent into overtime where the Golden Goal Rule come into effect. First team to score a goal wins. Neither team was able to capitalize in the two extra 10-minute periods, leaving the match to end in a draw.
 
The Bobcats are back in action next Saturday at home against Warner University at 6 p.m.
