MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (October 25, 2019) – The No. 13 St. Thomas University Men's Soccer team (10-2, 4-2 TSC) takes on SCAD – Savannah (5-4-1, 3-2-1 TSC) face-off against each other in the Sun Conference "Match of the Week" on Saturday, October 26 from Bobcat Field.
The thirteenth-ranked Bobcats currently sit tied for second in the Sun Conference, as St. Thomas is 4-2 and tied with Keiser and trails No. 11 Southeastern (4-1-1 TSC) by just half a game.
Offensively, St. Thomas is led by two-time Sun Conference Player of the Week, Pedro Moriera. Moriera is tied for the team lead in goals (7) with
Mads Rismoen and comes into the match following his second hat trick performance of the season, in a win over Florida Memorial.
Goalkeepers,
Mike Marx and
Franco Acerbi, are a dynamic duo in net for the Bobcats. Marx is 5-0, recording 21-saves and three shutouts; meanwhile, Acerbi is 4-2, with seven saves and one shutout performance.
SCAD is currently the fifth seed in the Sun Conference playoff race, led by Tom Barry. Barry leads the Bees with six goals on 20-shots. In net, Joe Parker is 4-3-1 with 32 saves on the season.
The Sun Conference "Match of the Week" kicks-off at 7 p.m. from Bobcat Field.
