MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (October 25, 2019) - St. Thomas University Women's Soccer (8-4-1, 5-2-1 TSC) lost in heartbreaking fashion to No. 4 Southeastern University (13-3, 7-1 TSC) 2-1 in Double Overtime on Friday evening from Bobcat Field.

  • St. Thomas opened the match against the fourth-ranked Fire on the aggresive, recording two shots and a goal within the first two minutes.
    • Jüllich nearly capitalized on an opportunity, before Weide netted her third goal of the season, following a rebound from the save.
  • Uchenna Kanu tied the match in the eighth minute, recording her 28th goal of the season.
  • The Bobcat defense held firm, for the remainder of the first half, sending the game into halftime tied at 1-1.
  • No. 4 Southeastern outshot STU, 6-0 in the second half.
  • St. Thomas Goalkeeper, Lefebvre, turned away five shots-on-goal in the second half, recording all five of her saves in the period.
  • The match remained deadlocked at 1-1, as the clubs went into overtime in the Sun Conference match.
