- STU opened the first set with a 6-3 advantage, as a remarkable effort from Dani Femat gave the Bobcats a three-point lead.
- Warner rallied to take a 16-12 lead, as the Bobcats called a timeout.
- Following the break, STU recorded three consecutive kills, as back-to-back points from Allende and a Bolinger kill, put STU down 18-17.
- Back-to-back kills from Batsel tied the match at 20-20, forcing WU to use a timeout.
- After the Royals timeout, the Bobcats recorded five straight points, winning the set 25-20.
- St. Thomas opened the second set with an 8-3 lead, as Bolinger recorded four points, including a service ace.
