MIAMI GARDENS, Fla, (December 19, 2019) - St. Thomas University (STU) Bobcats Men's Basketball team (7-2) extended their winning streak to five games, defeating Carlow University (0-13) 92-70 on Thursday evening from the Fernandez Family Center.

  • STU opened the game on a 12-0 run, led by Brown's seven-points.
  • Three consecutive three-pointers by the Bobcats, including two from Tyrik Waite, extended the St. Thomas lead to 23-4.
  • Midway through the first half, Strawter added two of his season-high 13, to maintain the STU lead at 29-18.
  • With less than five minutes remaining in the first half, Carlow cut the lead to ten, 31-21, after a three-pointer.
  • The Celtics' cut the Bobcat advantage to 34-28, with two minutes remaining in the first half.
  • Strawter kick-started an 8-0 STU run, scoring five consecutive points, putting St. Thomas ahead by double-digits.
  • The Bobcats went into the halftime break leading 42-30.
