MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (February 16, 2019) – The St. Thomas University Men's Basketball team (11-15, 10-8 TSC) fall in the Fernandez Family Center on 'Senior Night' to the twentieth ranked Fire of Southeastern University (20-8, 13-5 TSC) by a score of 59-77 to end regular season play.

Game Notes
- The game started with a lot of back-and-forth between the teams.
- The Bobcat would be able to gain their first lead off a Dutcher lay-up to make it 6-4.
- Southeastern would then go on a 15-4 run to make it 21-12 halfway through the first half.
- A three-point bucket by Saunders followed by Dutcher steal and Joe jumper would bring STU back within four at 21-17.
- An Adderley basket from behind the arc would give the Bobcats the momentum heading into the half. Southeastern held the lead at 35-32.
- McNeill would come into the second half on a defensive tear as he recorded back-to-back blocks to refuse the Fire offense a basket!
- Dutcher would get a key and-one to bring the game within one point at 45-46.
- The Fire would close out the game on a 18-4 run to close out the game.

- The Bobcats had more presence in the paint outscored the Fire 28-20 and outrebounding 40-36.
- McNeill records career-highs in rebounds (11) and block (3).
- Aaron Dutcher – 13 points, nine rebounds.
Seniors Honored

The Bobcats will now begin play in The Sun Conference Tournament as the sixth seed. They will play in a quarterfinal against the third seeded Ave Maria Gyrenes at Ave Maria, Fla. a time will be set tomorrow. The final four will be hosted on the campus of Warner University as they clinched the number one seed. With a win STU will play against #2 Southeastern University on Friday, February 22
nd with a time that is yet to be determined.
