LAKELAND, Fla. (February 22, 2019) – (RV) St. Thomas University (21-9, 13-5 TSC) was defeated in the Sun Conference Tournament Semi-Finals by the College of Coastal Georgia (21-10, 12-6 TSC) by a score of 71-51.

Game Notes
- STU opened the game on a 6-0 run, as Brooks, Auguste and Griffin all contributed early buckets in the first two minutes of the game.
- Coastal Georgia went the rest of the quarter on an 18-2 run to bring an 18-8 lead into the second quarter.
- Auguste knocked in two free throws, to cut the deficit to eight points, but that was as close as STU could get for the remainder of the first half.
- The Bobcats went into halftime trailing the Mariners 35-20.
- A 9-0 run by CCG to open the second half, put St. Thomas behind 44-20.
- STU cut the Coastal Georgia lead to 14-points, 55-41, as Auguste and Brooks each added free throw buckets, midway through the fourth quarter.
- That was as close as the Bobcats could come-back into the semi-final game, falling against the Mariners, 71-51.

St. Thomas postseason fate will now be determined by the result of the Sun Conference Championship game between the Mariners and the Southeastern University Fire, on Saturday evening from Southeastern.
