MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (February 23
rd, 2019) – The St. Thomas University Softball (6-2) team swept another day in the 2019 season against Edward Waters College (1-5). Game one had a final score of 6-3, while game two ended in a forfeit which counts as a 7-0 final. A victory day from The Colonel on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.

Game One Notes:
- The Bobcats got the scoring started in the bottom half of the first inning as they rallied for five singles to take an early 2-0 lead.
- Offense continued to roll in the 2nd inning as Grafals recorded the first home run on the year for Bobcats with a two-run to left-center and extended the lead to 4-0.
- Edward Waters was able to capitalize on two Bobcat errors in the top half of the third inning to cut the Bobcat lead in half at 4-2.
- In the sixth inning STU started a two-out rally as G. Santos reached on a bunt-single, Grafals then doubled to left field to bring in Santos, and Ehrenthal came up and singled up the middle to score Grafals.
- This gave the Bobcats a 6-2 lead heading into the seventh.
- Tigers tried to get a rally started as they hit a home run in top have of the seventh but would be unable to much after.
Box Score Notables:
- The Bobcats recorded a season-high 13 hits in the contest.
- Grafals recorded the first home run on the season for STU.

STU will travel to Clermont, Fla. for the weekend as they look to compete in the PFX Spring Games hosted at Legends Way Ball Fields at the National Training Center will play starting with a double-header on Friday, March 1
st at 1:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.
