WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (May 3, 2019) – No. 6 St. Thomas University Baseball (42-13) was eliminated from the Sun Conference tournament, following an 11-7 loss to No. 1 Southeastern University (48-9) on Friday afternoon from the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.

Game Notes
	- Sun Conference Pitcher of the Year, Ian Exposito, made the start for the Bobcats. The senior lasted five innings, striking out three and allowing four runs.
- STU scored in the first inning for the second straight game, as a RBI single by Diaz plated Lopez.
- Rivero followed with a two-run single of his own, bringing in Garabedian and Diaz, capping off a three-run bottom of the first inning.
- SEU added two runs in the top of the fourth inning, trimming the STU lead to 3-2.
- Back-to-back home runs by the Fire, gave Southeastern their first lead in the elimination game at 4-3.
- Rivero blasted his thirteenth home run of the season, fifth in last six games, as a three-run home run gave St. Thomas the lead once again at 6-4.
- Southeastern scored seven unanswered runs against the St. Thomas bullpen, taking an 11-6 into the ninth inning.
- STU loaded the bases with an Urbaez hit-by-pitch, and walks to Delgado and Lopez. Garabedian brought in Urbaez on a sacrifice fly.
- The rally ended there, as STU was eliminated following an 11-7 defeat.
Upcoming
Sixth-ranked St. Thomas has received an at-large bid as the host of the "Miami Gardens Bracket" of the NAIA National Tournament and will return to action on May 13
th from Paul Demie Mainieri Field. The Selection show for the Opening Round is May 9
