MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (August 20, 2019) – St. Thomas University Volleyball (2-3) lost in straight sets (22-25, 22-25, 11-25) to tenth-ranked Eastern Oregon University (4-0) in a neutral court match from the FMU Wellness Center on the campus of Florida Memorial.

- STU began the match with an early 4-3 advantage, following a Bolinger service ace.
- Four straight points in favor of St. Thomas, including three EOU errors, extended the STU lead to 15-11, forcing the Mountaineers to take a timeout.
- An EOU service ace tied the match at 18-18.
- Senior captain, Carli Batsel, recorded a kill off an Alvarez assist to give St. Thomas a late 21-19 advantage.
- Eastern Oregon closed the first set with four consecutive points, taking a 25-22 victory over St. Thomas.
- In the second set, STU opened with three consecutive points, capitalizing on three Mountaineer errors.
- Bolinger recorded another service ace, extending the Bobcats lead to 10-6 and making EOU burn an early timeout.
- Bolinger added one of her seven kills, to give St. Thomas a five-point advantage over Eastern Oregon at 13-8.
- EOU rallied for six-of-seven points to tie the second set at 14-14.
- The set went back-and-forth, as the score sat deadlocked at 20-20. Brock took advantage on an over-ball and gave St. Thomas a late 21-20 lead.
- Eastern Oregon rallied for another four-point comeback to win the second set, 22-25, and taking a 2-0 set advantage.
- In the third set, St. Thomas could not gather any momentum, dropping the set (11-25) and the match in straight sets.
