BRUNSWICK, GA. (January 9, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Basketball team (10-3, 3-3 TSC) ended their eight-game winning streak with a 92-84 loss to the College of Coastal Georgia (8-8, 2-4 TSC) on Thursday night from the Coffin Gym.

- Gilbert recorded the first, five-points for STU and had the Bobcats trailing 7-5 in the opening 4:49.
- Brown tied the game at 7-7, before the first media timeout.
- Gilbert added three-points, following a made three-pointer, bringing the Bobcats within one, 16-15.
- Strawter gave the Bobcats their first lead since the opening minutes, sinking two free throws at the midway point of the first half.
- Adderley recorded four consecutive points, off made free throws, before Coastal Georgia rallied for an 11-0 run over 2:42, taking a 31-21 lead.
- Back-to-back lay-ups from Floyd and Brown brought the CCGA lead to 31-25, with four minutes remaining in the first half.
- In the final two minutes of the first half, Gilbert added three-points and Millwood finished an "and-one" hustle play to cut the deficit to 37-36.
- Gilbert continued his hot scoring, recording seven consecutive points in the second half, giving STU a 44-41 advantage.
- Gilbert and Coastal Georgia's, Vidmantas Kaciuska, traded three-pointers, as the Bobcats trailed 57-54.
- A clutch three-pointer from Tyrik Waite cut the deficit to 67-65 with 7:07 remaining in the game.
- The Mariners recorded another 8-0 run, extending their lead to 75-65 before a Gilber three-pointer halted the momentum.Â
- Strawter added a three-pointer to bring St. Thomas to within six, 79-73, with three minutes left in the game.
- The Mariners closed out the game, on the strength of two, thirty-point scorers, and ended the Bobcats winning streak at eight games.
