TENNIS DEFEATED BY COASTAL GEORGIA

BRUNSWICK, GA. (February 15, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Tennis (1-5, 1-3 TSC) was defeated in Sun Conference action by No. 19 Coastal Georgia (4-0, 4-0 TSC) 2-5 from the Torrey Tennis Complex.

Doubles
Paulo Quintella and Sebastian Bunster lost (2-6)
Juan Patino and Sebastian Mezo were defeated (4-6)
Gonzalo Smulski and Miguel Torremegra did not win a point, falling (0-6)

Singles
Adriel Azucey fell in straight sets (1-6, 2-6) 
Patino picked up the first win of the afternoon for St. Thomas, winning (6-1, 6-3)
Mezo earned a victory in three-sets, claiming the second victory for STU, (3-6, 6-4, 6-2)
Bunster lost both sets (4-6, 4-6)
Torremegra fell in two sets (2-0, 0-6)
Eduardo Reyna also dropped both sets, losing (2-6, 2-6)

Women's Tennis
St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Tennis (0-6, 0-4 TSC) continued to falter, losing to the College of Coastal Georgia (3-1, 3-1 TSC) 3-4 on Saturday afternoon.

Doubles
Annie Carrera and Lia Pena claimed the lone doubles win for St. Thomas, winning (6-0)
Thais Shibata and Thalia Skeene did not win a point, losing (0-6)
Giovanna Paschoalin and Mariah Bastos lost in their doubles match (3-6)

Singles
Carrera fell in her singles match, losing in three sets (4-6, 6-2, 2-6)
Pena earned the first singles win for the Bobcats, taking the match in three sets (6-7, 6-1, 6-4)
Manami Maehama won in straight sets, earning the third point win for STU (6-4, 6-4)
Skeene lost in three sets (5-7, 6-4, 1-6)
Paschoalin won the final point for the Bobcats in two sets (6-1, 7-5)
Shibata lost in two sets (6-7, 5-7)
