NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (February 20, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Basketball (10-17, 7-10 TSC) was defeated in Sun Conference action by crosstown opponent, Johnson & Wales University (18-7, 12-5 TSC) on Thursday evening. The Wildcats defeated the Bobcats, 75-58, from the Wildcat Center.

• STU began the game on a quick-strike, 5-0 run, as seniors, Wilson and Brooks contributed the points.
• Vogel scored consecutive baskets for the Bobcats, extending the lead to 9-3.
• Back-to-back threes from Dozier and Kayla Rodriguez forced the Wildcats to burn a timeout, with STU leading 15-7.
• Patricia Martinez - Sanz recorded her first two points of the game, connecting on a lay-up as the Bobcats went into the second quarter leading 17-13.
• In the early stages of the second quarter, JWU tied the game, 19-19, before a Wilson three, put STU back in the lead.
• Brooks scored four consecutive points for STU, pushing the lead to 33-25, in favor of the Bobcats.
• Dozier added the final points of the half for St. Thomas, sending the game into the halftime break with STU leading 36-30.
• The Wildcats cut the Bobcat lead to one, 36-35, as Vogel halted the brief run with a lay-up.
• In the final two minutes of the third quarter, Keaubree Edwards knocked down two free throws to reclaim a 45-44 lead.
• JWU took a 49-47 advantage into the fourth quarter, sinking three consecutive free throws.
• Brooks tied the game, 49-49, by notching two more points on a jumper.
• An "and-one" from Vogel put STU back in front 52-51, with 7:19 remaining in the game.
• JWU took the lead for good, off the strength of a 16-2 run, sealing the win and putting the Bobcats playoff hopes in jeopardy heading into the final game of the season.
