MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 8, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Tennis (1-3, 1-2 TSC) recorded their first win of the 2020 season, defeating SCAD - Savannah (1-2, 1-2 TSC) 5-2 on the STU Tennis Courts.
Singles
- Adriel Azucey was defeated (0-6) in the match of singles No. 1s
- Juan Patino earned the first St. Thomas match point of the season, winning in three sets (1-6, 7-5, 6-1)
- Sebastian Mezo also picked up a three-set win, defeating his opponent (6-2, 4-6, 6-4)
- Sebastian Bunster earned a victory, winning his match in straight sets (6-0, 6-1)
- Eduardo Reyna added a second straight-sets win (6-4, 6-1)
- Fabricie Bissainthe earned his first win of the 2020 campaign, winning in straight sets (6-0, 6-0)
Doubles
- Azucey and Bunster partnered to earn the first STU doubles win (7-6)
- Patino and Mezo were defeated (4-6)
- Reyna and Paulo Quintella also fell in doubles competition (4-6)
