MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (September 14, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Soccer (0-1) was defeated by crosstown opponent, Florida National University (1-0) 3-0 on Monday evening from Bobcat Field on campus at St. Thomas University.

• Florida National began the game on the offensive, netting the first goal of the season in the 11th minute, taking a 1-0 lead over the Bobcats.
• Petrilli attempted a shot-on-goal a few moments later, which was stopped by the FNU goalkeeper.
• Mark Oghogho was subbed into the game for the Bobcats, replacing Ciceri in the 33rd minute. 
• The Conquistadors outshot the Bobcats, 5-4, in the first half. 
• FNU quickly added another goal in the second half, extending the lead to 2-0 in the 54th minute. 
• Florida National extended their lead to 3-0, netting an insurance goal in the 76th minute, scoring from 30-yards away.
• STU was unable to convert an offensive chance, getting shut-out in the season opener. 3-0. 
• The Bobcats outshot Florida National, 10-9, for the game.
