AVE MARIA, Fla. (September 26th, 2020)- St. Thomas University Men's Soccer (3-1) defeated Ave Maria University (2-2) 5-0 in the Sun Conference Game of the Week on Saturday morning.

Game Notes: 

• Luis Stalin Munoz tried to give STU their first goal of the game in the 9th minute, but a save by AMU's goalkeeper completed the drive. 
• In the 26th minute, Felipe Madero broke the back-and-forth with STU's first goal of the game in the 26th minute.
• Pascal Agostini gave STU a 2-0 lead in the 39th minute, deflecting off the team for an open shot to the left of the goal.
• Starting the second half, STU controlled the ball, making way for Alvaro Bode to extend STU's lead to 3-0 after a Gyrene misplay. 
• Giving STU a 4-0 advantage in the 84th minute, Mark Oghogho scored his first season goal. 
• Munoz finally got his chance to provide STU with a goal, taking the lead to 5-0 with 2 minutes left in the game.
• Acerbi had four saves throughout the game, shutting down any chance AMU had to score.
