MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (January 30, 2021) - St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Basketball (7-8, 6-7 TSC) defeated Webber International University (9-15, 5-9 TSC) 74-70 in Sun Conference action on Saturday evening from the Fernandez Family Center.

- Whitaker was able to get the Bobcats on the board with a turnaround jumper from the paint to respond to a Warriors' three-pointer.Â
- WIU recorded five consecutive points to extend their lead to 8-2 over STU.Â
- Whitaker knocked down his first three-pointer of the game to cut the Warriors' lead to 12-7.
- After a Quinterious Jones lay-up, Whittaker added his second three-pointer of the half to tie the game at 12-12 with 13:48 remaining.
- Rogers gave the Bobcats its first lead of the Sun Conference match-up, 15-14, with a three-pointer.
- WIU went on a 10-2 run over three minutes, taking a 24-17 lead when Whitaker halted the run with a jumper.Â

- Waite and Whitaker opened the second half with back-to-back three-point makes to reclaim the Bobcats advantage, 39-35.
- Floyd recorded a put-back dunk, which gave St. Thomas a 43-36 lead.
- Whitaker added two more points to his total to give STU a 55-45 lead at the midway point of the second half.
- Whitaker knocked two consecutive three-pointers, extending the advantage to 63-52 for the Bobcats.Â
- Webber brought the deficit to two, 65-63, but Waite stopped the WIU momentum with a lay-up, giving STU a 67-63 lead.
- Antoine Joe sealed the victory by scoring the Bobcats' final four points, as STU recorded a 74-70 victory.Â
