BABSON PARK, Fla. (January 7, 2021) – St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Basketball (9-1, 6-1 TSC) defeated Webber International University Warriors (9-3, 5-2 TSC) 77-71 in Sun Conference action on Thursday evening.
The Sun Conference match-up pitted two teams tied for second in the Sun Conference to start 2021 conference action.

- STU was able to take a quick lead in the Sun Conference game, leading 4-2 after the first minute of play as Bogatz and Domond recorded their first baskets of the game.
- WIU rallied for a brief 5-0 run, taking a 7-4 lead over the Bobcats.
- Midway through the first quarter, the Warriors maintained an 11-6 lead.
- STU closed the first quarter on a 6-2 run, with Renice Dacres tallying her first two points of the contest from the free throw line to put the score at 13-12, in favor of the Warriors.
- Keaubree Edwards reclaimed the lead for the Bobcats, 14-13, with a make from the charity stripe.
- August sank a three-pointer, which extended the STU advantage to 20-13.
- WIU cut the deficit to 22-21, but Domond added a three-point bucket of her own to push the Bobcats ahead by two baskets.
- With less than two minutes remaining in the first half, Bogatz tied the game up at 27-27 with a lay-up.
- The two teams went into the halftime break with St. Thomas trailing, 28-29.
- The Warriors extended their advantage to 38-32, when Domond was able to cut the deficit in half with another three-pointer.
- Anari Dozier, Martinez-Sanz and Bogatz made three consecutive buckets from beyond the arc to reclaim the lead for STU, 44-40.
- Dacres extended the STU lead to double-digits, 52-42, with another make from the free throw line.
- In the final minute of the third quarter, Dacres sank a three-pointer and Edwards converted a lay-up to keep the Bobcats ahead 57-48.
- August recorded the first points of the fourth quarter for STU, keeping the advantage at 59-55.
- Following the under five minute media timeout, Domond added a lay-up, putting the score at 67-59.
- With less than two minutes remaining in the game, St. Thomas led 72-62.
- The Bobcats closed the game from the free throw line, 77-71, earning the ninth win of the season and holding sole possession of second place in the Sun Conference.
