WEST TPALM BEACH, Fla. (October 20, 2021) – The St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Volleyball team (15-6, 8-2 SUN) forced a five-set match and picked up the thrilling victory on the road against Keiser University (14-20, 4-6). St. Thomas took sets one, four, and five while Keiser took the second and third. St. Thomas has now taken the season series 2-0.

Match Notes
- St. Thomas took on their first fifth-set match in conference play and came out on top.
- Prior to this match the Bobcats were 0-2 when dropping the first set in SUN play.
- Sana Dennis got the offense going scoring the first point of the match.
- The Bobcats went on an 8-3 run to take the lead 15-13 in the first set.
- Tyran Chenault and Amanda Allende closed out the set with back-to-back kills being set up by Mia Thomas to take it 25-22.
- STU hit .250 in set one while KU hit .100.
- Set two was a hot start for the Seahawks as they jumped out to an 8-3 lead.
- St. Thomas slowly chipped away at the Keiser lead but were unable to climb the hump falling 23-25 in the set and allowing Keiser to tie the match at one all.
- Keiser took a momentous swing in the match taking set three by a commanding 25-13 score.
- St. Thomas hit a low .093 in the set and could not find a grove.
- Set four the switch flipped back in favor of the Bobcats.
- The Bobcats jumped out to an 12-5 lead thanks to Dennis, Chenault and Kendall Brock.
- Chenault and Allende took over collecting 11 kills together.
- With the match tied at two a piece, the fifth set was up for grabs and momentum was in favor of St. Thomas after hitting a .417 in the set.
- Allende and Chenault did not hold back scoring five of the first seven points.
- Loreto Nunez-Casal and Sana Dennis teamed up for a big block to make it 10-5.
- Keiser would not go down without a fight, going on a 7-0 rally to tie the set at 13-all.
- No one other than Chenault gets the kill to swing the focus back to St. Thomas.
- A Seahawk error would then close out the game, 15-13.
