LAKELAND, Fla. (February 1, 2021)- St. Thomas University Women's Soccer (5-7) fell to Masters (2-2-1) 1-0 Monday afternoon as the Bobcats resumed the 2020-21 season.

Game Notes:

• Weide attempted to put the Bobcats on the board in minute 14 but shot high.
• Jullich then went for a shot in minute 15, but the Masters' goalkeeper saved it.
• With a Lefebvre save and then a block in minutes 22 and 23, two Masters' attempts at goals were lost.
• Leizorek then attempted a Bobcats goal but shot wide in minute 38.
• Alexandra Costas tried to record a goal but hit high to keep it scoreless, ending the first half.
• Keris Abbott got subbed in for goalie in the second half.
• Isabella Santiago shot a goal wide in an attempt to put the Bobcats on the board.
• In the 52nd minute of the game, Masters recorded a goal to put them over the Bobcats 0-1.
• Jackson took her chance to put the Bobcats on the board but was foiled by a goalkeeper save.
• Weide tried to record a goal but shot wide.
• Costas then attempted to tie the score in minute 66 but shot wide.
• Nine goalkeeper saves were recorded for the Bobcats (8 by Abbott and one from Lefebvre.)

Upcoming:

St. Thomas Univesity Women's Soccer returns to Bobcat Field on February 24 to take on Florida National University. The game start is set for 7 p.m.
