STU ROLLS TO FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 18, 2021) - St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Basketball (12-9, 11-8 TSC) earned their fourth consecutive win, defeating Keiser University Seahawks (16-9, 12-7 TSC) 70-63 on Thursday evening from the Fernandez Family Center.

  • The Bobcats took an early 4-0 lead following back-to-back baskets from Waite and Russell.
  • Keiser rallied for an 8-0 run, before a dunk from Floyd ended the run and put the score at 8-6.
  • Rogers recorded five consecutive points for STU to give St. Thomas an 11-10 lead.
  • Lee Richmond halted a second, early 7-0 run by the Seahawks, making a three-pointer and bringing the Bobcats within one, 17-16.
  • At the midway point of the first half, STU and KU traded buckets, as Kheron Millwood gave St. Thomas a 20-19 lead.

  • Millwood finished another lay-up, before KU knocked down a three-pointer to reclaim the lead, 54-53.
  • Whitaker finished two free throws to give St. Thomas a 55-54 lead.
  • Richmond extended the lead to 58-54 with six minutes remaining in the game.
  • With two minutes remaining in the game, the Seahawks tied the game 61-61.
  • Whitaker putback a lay-up to reclaim the lead for STU in the final minute of play.
  • St. Thomas sealed their fourth consecutive win from the free throw line, as Russell, Christian Dejean and Waite all hit free throws.
  • STU finished the game with a 70-63 win over the Seahawks.
