MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 6, 2021) - St. Thomas University (8-9, 7-8 TSC) fell in Sun Conference action on Saturday afternoon against Ave Maria University (16-8, 10-5 TSC) 88-68 from the Fernandez Family Center.
Before the game, St. Thomas University Athletics honored seniors Lee Richmond, Tyrik Waite, and Kheron Millwood in a ceremony to celebrate their STU careers.

- Millwood began the game by converting an and-one, giving STU a 3-2 lead.
- AMU recorded a 16-2 run, putting the score at 18-5, early in the first half.
- Seven Ferguson knocked down a three-pointer to halt the Gyrenes run.
- Ave Maria knocked down three consecutive three-pointers to extend the lead to 27-10 midway through the first half.
- The Gyrenes continued to shoot well from beyond the arc, extending their lead to 37-16 with 7:26 remaining in the first half.
- STU went into the halftime break trailing AMU 55-29.
- The Bobcats returned from the break with new energy, quickly scoring ten consecutive points, led by Dwayne Russell and stingy full-court defense to put the score at 59-39.
- Midway through the second half, Ave Maria led 76-52.
- The Bobcats were unable to bring the score to less than double-digits, dropping the Sun Conference match-up 88-68 against the Gyrenes.
