BRUNSWICK, Ga. (April 29, 2021) - St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Tennis (7-8) was defeated in the Sun Conference Championship Tournament semifinals by No. 2 Keiser University, 4-0, on Thursday afternoon from the Marta B. Torrey Tennis Complex. 

Singles

• Lia Pena was defeated, out of the top singles slot, by Camilla Abbate (1-6, 2-6)
• Manami Maehama fell in two sets against Maissane Aik (0-6, 1-6).
• Thalia Skeene lost against Isabella Perez Flores (0-6, 2-6).
• Vanessa Centeno's, Annie Carrera's, and Sofia De La Fuente's matches went unfinished against the top-seeded Seahawks. 

Doubles

• The duo of Carrera and Pena fell in the top doubles match-up (6-0)
• Mariah Bastos and Thalia Skeen paired up but were defeated (0-6), clinching the match and a berth to the Sun Conference Championship for the Seahawks. 

The loss in the Sun Conference Semifinals concludes the 2021 season for St. Thomas University. The Bobcats, under the direction of Head Coach Matt Roche, re-established themselves on the national stage and look to continue progress and foundation building into future years.
