(September 22, 2021) – The seventh ranked St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Soccer team (4-0-1) defeated Florida National University (4-2-0) in a come from behind win that came down to the wire. The Bobcats score three second half goals to take the victory 4-3 over the Conquistadors from Royal oaks Park in the early morning matchup. The game was originally scheduled for September 21 at 3 p.m. but was postponed due to inclement weather

- The Bobcats star forward, Arzeno got the scoring started for the Bobcats in the second minute striking a beautiful ball from 30-yards out, hitting the top right corner and banking it in for the 1-0 lead.
- Florida National would not be phased as the Conquistadors scored three unanswered goals to close out the half.
- The first goal came off a corner kick that found the head of Santiago Leaniz on the back post as he flicked it over Marx.
- FNU took advantage of a hard foul in the box from a Bobcat defender to take the 2-1 lead off the penalty kick.
- Florida National's final goal came in the 43rd-minute as the ball was played from the backline to the feet of the Conquistador forward and he beat the last Bobcat defender to put them up 3-1 heading into the half.
- St. Thomas came with a new lineup to get some spark off the bench in the second half.
- Nicolas Gomez moved into the midfield for the second half and broke through for his first goal as a Bobcat.
- This brought the deficit to just one, 3-2.
- Both teams' offense continued to apply pressure putting up a total of 25 on the match with 16 corner kicks.
- St. Thomas made the most of the final five minutes of the match scoring the equalizer and the game winner.
- Felipe Madero scored off deflections that started with the offensive push from Federico Landaburu. Madero struck it straight past the keeper of one touch.
- Minutes later the Bobcats avoided the overtime golden goal thanks to the heroics of Mark Oghogho.
- St. Thomas forwards crashed the box looking for the game winner and sure enough it came off the foot of Oghogho who took a pass from Arzeno and turned with it and struck right inside the left frame of the goal.
- The Bobcats scored three second half goals and shutout the Conquistadors to secure the comeback.
