ST. THOMAS SWEEPS KEISER TO MAKE IT SIX IN A ROW

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (September 22, 2021 – The St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Volleyball team (9-4, 3-0 SUN) continues to roll in Sun Conference play, defeating Keiser University (11-16, 1-2 SUN) in straight sets, 25-20, 25-15, 25-21 from the Fernandez Family Center on Wednesday night.

Match Notes
  • St. Thomas improves to 3-0 in Sun Conference play picking up their third sweep.
  • The Bobcats have not dropped a set in SUN play.
  • Arianna Bolinger and Amanda Allende led the way for the Bobcats.
  • Allende had 11-kills and swung a .308 hitting percentage.
  • Bolinger picked up her first double-double of the season with 10-kills and 12-digs while hitting .450.
  • Chenault was a part of four of the six Bobcat blocks and picking up nine-kills.
  • St. Thomas had seven service aces as Bolinger led the way with three.
  • Bianca Grassi continues to have impressive outings as she proves to be the missing piece in the defense. Grassi picks up 23-digs and a service ace.
  • STU hit .230 as a team while holding KU to .108.
  • Mia Thomas and Kyleigh Beecham split the setting duties running the 6-2 rotation.
  • This is now tied for the longest win streak in the Battoe Era and is the first time STU started 3-0 in conference play since 2017.
  • The Bobcats have improved their kills per set in conference play to 14.78 which is sixth in the country and first in the conference.
  • STU's hitting .284 as a team which is eight in the country and first in the conference for SUN play.
  • The defense is holding opponent just under a .100 hitting percentage.
