2021 Sun Conference Expectations Interview with Head Coach Michelle Smith
Â
Q1: What are your expectations heading into conference play?
A1: We want to win a good majority of the games we are matched up against. We are really confident this season and our coaching staff feels positive that we can succeed in anything that we are put up against.
Â
Q2: How do you feel the team has come together through non-conference play?
A2: When we play tougher competition earlier season it prepared us for Sun Conference play. As we go through different plays, we learn more about what we need to do and what we need to work on during practice. Whether it be serving the ball from the corner, down to simple touch plays. We are going to match up versus some of the best teams in the country and we have always been ready to set the standard to prove that we are more than qualified of competing at that level.
Â
Q3: What will be the biggest improvement and change this season?
A3: We believe that biggest improvement this season is that the team has a high knowledge of the game of soccer. The team is more unified and willing to help each other both off and on the field. We crave to win and you will see that effort when we play.
