MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (October 28, 2022)- The St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Basketball team was dominant yet again at home beating the University of the Virgin Islands 114 to 57. The Bobcats are clicking early and will look to keep the momentum going as they will travel to the Virgin Islands for the UVI Classic next week.

The Buccaneers would get the first bucket of the game; however,
Jordan Hernandez drilled a contested three and the Bobcats would be in front the rest of the way.
Fred Mulbah made his name known early with a fast break bucket followed by a
Milton Matthews field goal, then the Bobcats went on a short run. D'andre Johnson was a nuisance to the Buccaneers all night and would get a block followed by lay up on the other end.

Jordan Hernandez had a solid game hitting his second three of the game. STU had a slight drought, but
Joshua Thrower checked into the game and immediately put his name on the Box Score with a tough layup in the paint.
Dalon Dean was the Bobcats leading scorer with 18 pts, and he would get the Bobcats next points from behind the arch.
Daniel Ogoro would hit another three going back to back and would really take UVI out of the game.Â

After a foul by STU,
Justyn Rogers hit a soft touch jumper in the paint making it a 33-12 game. Three minutes went by with no scoring by each side until
Milton Matthews got fouled and hit the free throws.
Fred Mulbah was dishing out all night and would hit
Dalon Dean who drained another from deep, and the Bobcats took a 48 to 25 lead into the locker room.

The second half started with
Jordan Hernandez making his way to the line an hitting the freebees.
Milton Matthews would continue to make his presence known with a layup followed by a three. The Bobcats next five points would all come from free throws. STU shot 27-31 (87.1%) at the line. After a couple of threes from
Milton Matthews and
Dalon Dean,
Ahman Ellington checked in and made an impact.Â

Ellington marched his way down the court and would muscle his way under the basket for the tough layup finish.
James Harris III did his best to extend the lead hitting a three assisted by
Joshua Thrower. With the game almost over,
Kyle Feldman got fouled by the Buccaneers and would hit both free throws at the line. Feldman would make things happen again with a steal and pass to
Lincoln Hale who finished with a contested layup in the paint. Nearing the end
Bryant Tallie broke the 100 mark and
Austin Allison would add two, both on fast break layups in the paint.
Federico Frascari made his first three pointer as a Bobcat, and
Lincoln Hale hit a three for the last points for the Bobcats to win 114 to 57. This was the most points scored by the Bobcats in the Patrick Crarey Era.
