MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (March 26, 2022) - The receiving votes  St. Thomas University Men's Tennis team (10-5, 2-3 SUN) won their fourth straight match defeating Warner University (3-10, 0-5 SUN) 6-1 on Saturday afternoon from the STU Tennis Courts.

The day started with a senior celebration as the program honored six seniors. Thomas Andrews, Adria Aguilar Guerrero, Jacob Turley, Alessandro Tabares, Miguel Torronegra, and Gonzalo Smulski made up the senior class.

Doubles Recap

• St. Thomas took the first court of the day at the three position with Luis Leon and Raul Safont Martinez winning 6-1.
• Seniors, Adria Aguilar Guerrero and Alessandro Tabares, teamed up on court two for the first time this season and clinched the doubles point 6-4.
• Thomas Andrews and Jacob Turley fell in court one 4-6.

Singles Recap

• The Bobcats took five of the six singles courts.
• Tabares was the lone Bobcat to drop on court one.
• Safont Martinez gave STU back the lead with a court three victory making it 2-1.
• Thomas Andrew capped off the front half with a 6-4, 6-3 victory to send give the team a 3-1 advantage heading into the last three courts.
• Lucas Ribas took no time in clinching the match point taking a 6-1, 6-0 victory on court four.
• Juan Patino Pabon and Luis Leon wrapped up with court five and six wins and 6-1 each.
