MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (October 17, 2023) - The St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Soccer team will continue their time on the road by traveling north to Hardeeville, SC where they will rematch against #8 SCAD-Savannah. They will then return home, hosting Warner University for the second time this season.
In their last match up on September 28th, the Bobcats fell to the Bees 2-0. The Bees have maintained their undefeated record since the two teams last met, winning 13 games and recording their first draw this past week against #18 Keiser University. The Bees have an overall record of 13-0-1 and they are currently 9-0-1 in Sun Conference play. The Bobcats notched 21 shots during the last match up compared to the Bees eight, but they were unable to get a point on the board. STU will head to Hardeeville, SC on Wednesday, October 18th to face the Bees at SCAD Athletic Complex at 7 p.m.
The Bobcats will head home for another match up against Warner University. In their last meeting, the Bobcats traveled to Lake Wales, Fla. To face the Royals, ending the game in a draw 1-1. This match marked the first tie in series history between the Bobcats and the Royals, making their series record 14-1-1 in favor of the Bobcats. Warner currently has an overall record of 4-7-2 and a conference record of 1-7-2, defeating Florida Memorial University 3-0 early in Sun Conference play. The Bobcats will host the Royals on Saturday, October 21st at Noon.

Gabrielle Cimino led the Bobcats in shots in their initial match ups against SCAD-Savannah and Warner University, notching seven shots against the Bees and three against the Royals. Cimino also recorded an assist against the Royals.

Defender Natalie Woodward was a standout player for the Bobcats in Week 5 of Sun Conference play, notching two goals against Webber International University. Woodward scored these goals just five minutes apart, securing the win for the Bobcats and marking her first two goals as a Bobcat.

Midfielder Cristina Blaya San Pedro was another standout player for the Bobcats this past week, scoring the lone goal in their match up against #13 Southeastern University.
Next week, the Bobcats will have their last two matches of the regular season, heading to Ave Maria University on Wednesday, October 25th for a 7 p.m. match up before heading home to host #18 Keiser University on Saturday, October 28th at 6 p.m.
