MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (October 16, 2023)- The St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Soccer team beat a tough SCAD-Savanah 4-1. After going into the half tied at one a piece, the Bobcats came out in the second half and took over. Guido Cacciabue and Angelo Bernandes both netted two to elevate STU to victory.
 
 
Early in the game (30:35) STU's Guido Cacciabue opened the scoring with a beautiful goal, assisted by Nick In't Zand. This early goal set the tone for the match. At the 40:54-mark SCAD's Ryan Holmes answered back with a goal of his own, assisted by Phillip Holtgen. The score was now tied at 1-1, providing an intense atmosphere on the field.
 
 
Guido Cacciabue struck again for STU, putting his team ahead with his second goal of the game. This time, he was assisted by the entire team, showing the effectiveness of teamwork. Lucas Caferra played a crucial role in setting up the goal. 50:38 - STU continued to extend their lead as Angelo Bernandes found the back of the net, assisted by Lucas Caferra. The score now stood at 3-1 in favor of St. Thomas. Angelo Bernandes scored his second goal of the match at 80:28, solidifying STU's victory. This time, he was assisted by Niklas Hoener, further highlighting the team's offensive prowess.
