STU Football Scores 73 Points For Second Straight Week in Win Over Royals

LAKE WALES, Fla. (October 28, 2023)- The St. Thomas University (STU) #17 Football team defeated the Warner Royals by a score of 73-12. This is the second straight week scoring 70+ points. In a dominating performance, St. Thomas took on Warner in a football game that showcased how they are putting it all together at the right time.
 
STU started strong in the first quarter, with Keely Watson connecting with C'quan Jnopierre for a 23-yard touchdown pass. Alejandro Prado's successful kick put them up 7-0. The Bobcat offense continued to impress, as Rontavious Farmer found the end zone with an 8-yard run, making it 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.
 
The second quarter saw no slowing down from STU. Rontavious Farmer added two more touchdowns to his name, with runs of 25 yards and 3 yards, putting the team up 28-0. Alejandro Prado later sealed the first half with a 49-yard field goal, extending the lead to 31-0.
 
In the third quarter, the dominance continued as Rontavious Farmer broke free for a 66-yard touchdown run, and Jhaqwori Austin added to the lead with a 38-yard fumble recovery, making it 52-0. Keely Watson connected with David Hayes for a 44-yard touchdown pass, and St. Thomas led 59-0. Warner finally got on the scoreboard with a 51-yard pass, though their extra point attempt failed, leaving the score at 59-6.
 
The fourth quarter saw Rontavious Farmer with yet another 3-yard touchdown run, extending the lead to 66-6. Traquan Johnson added to the tally with a 12-yard run, making it 73-6. Warner managed to put up a fight in the final minutes. The game concluded with a score of 73-12, with St. Thomas emerging as the dominant force on the field.
