WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (October 7, 2023)- The St. Thomas University Football team fought hard against the #9 Keiser Seahawks until the end. The Bobcats had an opportunity for a late drive to try and tie it up, but wouldn't prevail. STU returns home next week for the "Battle of Miami Gardens" against Florida Memorial.

STU got off to a strong start with a 1-yard touchdown run by
Keely Watson, followed by a successful
Alejandro Prado kick. This impressive drive covered 75 yards in just 5 plays and took 1 minute and 54 seconds. The score stood at STU 7, KU 0.

KU quickly responded with a touchdown of their own. Bryce Veasley connected with D'Andre Golden for a 14-yard pass, and Luke Creber's kick tied the game at 7-7. This drive was remarkably efficient, consisting of just one play that covered 14 yards and took only 10 seconds.

KU took the lead later in the first quarter when Bryce Veasley rushed for a 3-yard touchdown, followed by another successful Luke Creber kick. This time, the drive was more methodical, spanning 10 plays and 77 yards over a period of 4 minutes and 31 seconds. The score now favored KU, with a lead of 14-7.

The second quarter saw KU extending their lead further. Bryce Veasley connected with Refeno Vangates for an 8-yard touchdown pass, and Luke Creber's kick was good. This drive consisted of 4 plays and covered 35 yards in just 2 minutes and 2 seconds, making the score STU 7, KU 21.

STU fought back in the third quarter, closing the gap.
