Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla (December 21, 2023) - The St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Basketball team faced Dakota Wesleyan University on Thursday evening for the second game of the Cruzin' Classic. The Bobcats were ultimately defeated by the Tigers, 52-75, bringing their record to 9-3 to close out 2023.

The game was tight right out of the gate, the Bobcats only down by six at the end of the first quarter. Camilla Flefil  put up four points in quarter one, nearly half of the Bobcats points in the quarter. The Tigers outscored St. Thomas at the end of the quarter, leading 15-9.

In the second quarter, the Bobcats scored 17 points to the Tigers 18. Similarly, in the third quarter, the Bobcats matched up with the Dakota Wesleyan, both teams scoring 18 points. Though they were unable to take the lead, the Bobcats showcased their skills and determination. Brooke Bogatz was a powerhouse during those two quarters, putting up eight points in the second and 10 in the third, contributing to her 23 point total during the game.

Ultimately, the Bobcats fell to the Tigers 52-75. This loss brings their record to 9-3 this season. This game closes out game play until early 2024. The Bobcats will next face Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 at 4 p.m. in the Fernandez Family Center.
