MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (December 5, 2023) - The (RV) St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Basketball team is heading north for an exhibition match against NCAA Division I Florida Atlantic University. This is the second year in a row the Bobcats will face the Owls on the DI stage.
Last season, the Bobcats traveled to Boca Raton, Fla. To face FAU in early November. It was their second match up of the season and they came out of the gate hot. The Bobcats scored 21 points in the first quarter compared to the Owls 25. The Bobcats were ultimately outscored by FAU, falling to the Owls 56-100. STU went on to have a 21-8 record in the 2022-23 season while FAU finished their season with a record of 12-18.
Entering the match up, the Owls currently have a record of 3-3, and they are 2-0 when they have the home court advantage. The Bobcats are entering the match with a record of 5-2 and are also 2-0 at home. The game will take place on Tuesday, December 5th at 7 p.m. in Boca Raton, Fla. The game can be streamed on ESPN+.
The Bobcats are then set to host the New College of Florida for the second time this season. The Mighty Banyans are currently 4-6 this season, defeating Warner University and Ave Maria University, both teams the Bobcats will face later in the season. In their last match up, the Bobcats defeated the Mighty Banyans 102-47. Camilla Flefil led the Bobcats with 25 points in the game.

Brooke Bogatz is currently leading the team in points this season with 123, scoring a whopping 26 points two games in a row. Bogatz joined the 1,000 points club early in the season and her career total is still climbing. Bogatz also leads the team in assists with 29.

Bria Brown is second in points so far this season with 83. Brown scored 23 points in the Bobcats' first match up of the season against New College of Florida.

Sophia Vandyke had a double-double day last week, scoring 23 points again Florida National University and notching 11 rebounds. She has 35 rebounds so far this season and 41 points.
