MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (December 9, 2023) – The St. Thomas University Men's Basketball team took on the Florida National Conquistadors in a tough matchup. The Conquistadors were coming off two victories against Sun Conference foe's Ave Maria, and Keiser. In his first action with the Bobcats,
Josh Taylor made a statement in his first game. Taylor had 20 points and 9 rebounds living just outside the paint.
The first half set the tone for the thrilling match, with St. Thomas quickly taking the lead. The Bobcats' offense was on display as they efficiently converted layups and three-pointers, showcasing a diverse and effective scoring strategy.
Daniel Ogoro's layup and
Milton Matthews' three-pointer contributed to an early lead for St. Thomas.
However, the Florida National team didn't back down, responding with impressive plays of their own. Ray Daniel Parrish and Matthew Robinson displayed their scoring abilities, keeping the game close.
