MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (March 2, 2023) - St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Tennis (5-4, 0-1 SUN) start Sun Conference play at home on Wednesday afternoon against no. 1 Keiser (5-2, 1-0 SUN). The Bobcats dropped the match 5-2 against the Seahawks.

Doubles play was intense as both teams battled it out. The Seahawks would eventually take the point with 6-3 wins in both court two and three. Court one went into a tie breaker, Carlos Vidal and Oliver Andersson would later fall 7-6 [7-3].

Singles play had Raul Safont Martinez dominating court one. The Bobcat junior took the win 6-1, 6-3 to bring the match score to 2-1.

A retirement on court five would clinch the match for the Seahawks at 4-1. Jakub Federowicz did not let that stop him from coming back down a set to win it in three over #7 Yassir Kilani.

St. Thomas will head to Orlando, Fla. for Spring Break and begin play on Tuesday, March 7.
