Neher and the Bobcats Cruise Past Eagles on AutoNation Field

Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (March 24, 2023)- The St. Thomas University (STU) Flag Football team defeated the University of Fort Lauderdale Eagles 27-0 in the first ever meeting between the two teams. Quarterback Holly Neher had a solid performance, throwing for 182 total yards and 4 touchdowns.
 
The Eagles won the toss and deferred, allowing the Bobcats to start on offense. The fourth play of the drive UFTL would intercept the pass, with good field position. After the STU defense held up, the offense came out and put points on the board. Holly Neher hit Jada Graham over the middle, and Graham zig zagged her way for the 35-yard touchdown.
 
The next Eagle drive the Bobcat defense stepped up once again. Tashumba Washington read the UFTL Quarterbacks eyes picking her off, and returning it 26-yards and setting the STU offense up with excellent field position. Despite the great field position, the Eagles intercepted another Neher pass.
 
STU's next possession resulted in more points, as Holly Neher dropped it off to Dominique Parkes who ran it in 7-yards for the score. The missed extra point however made it 13-0. The Bobcats would force the Eagles to punt once again, and STU capitalized yet again. This one didn't take long, as Holly Neher drilled Tiffany Walker down the sideline and Walker ran it 29-yards to the house 20-0.
 
Taking control of the game, Holly Neher hit Tyler Bryant this time for another long scoring play of 23-yards 27-0. Late in the third quarter, Tyler Bryant got in on the interception party ending a promising drive for the Eagles. The Bobcats dominated the whole game on offense and defense resulting in the victory.

The Bobcats will hit the road to take on cross town rival Florida Memorial Saturday March 25th at 6 pm.
