MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (September 16, 2023)- The St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Soccer team went up against the Royals of Warner University in their second Sun Conference game of the season. The Bobcats blanked the Royals to get the 5-0 victory, to improve to 4-0-1 on the young season.
 
Just two minutes into the contest, Mark Oghogho received a pass from Angelo Bernandes and made no mistakes sneaking it by the Warner keeper to take control early. The Bobcats started fast and never looked back. Mark Oghogho once again found himself open, as Pascal Agostini found him making it 2-0.
 
Nearing the end of the first half, the Bobcats switched the field a few times opening up the Royals defense. Benjamin Stein was able to knock one past the keeper to extend their lead to 3-0 heading into the half.
 
The Bobcats made some substitutions the begin the second half, but they never lost a step. In the fifty fourth minute, Evan Bjerke sent one across the goal mouth and found the foot of Federico Testoni, who put it in the back of the net to give STU a 4-0 lead. With 28 seconds remaining in the match, Diego Schiesewits drew a penalty in the box, which allowed Alvaro Bode to knock in the penalty kick. Final score Bobcats 5, Royals 0.
