Miami Gardens, Fla. – The St. Thomas University Athletic Department has a triple-header inside the Fernandez Family Center on Saturday, Nov. 23, starting at noon with the 10th-ranked Volleyball Team hosting Florida College in the Opening Round of the NAIA National Championship and followed by the Men's and Women's Basketball Team taking on Southeastern in a Sun Conference doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. The Men's Basketball Team has a quick turnaround, hosting the University of the Virgin Islands on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 4 p.m.

The Bobcats punched their ticket to the postseason as the 2024 Sun Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champions, hosting Florida College with an unblemished 30-0 mark. STU features one of the top offenses in the country, averaging the fifth-most kills with 14.23 on a .260 hitting percentage that ranks eighth while holding to a .114 clip with a defense that boasts 15.4 digs on top of 1.9 blocks and 1.7 service aces.

Sana Dennis who chips in 2.53 on a .422 hitting percentage that ranks fourth in the NAIA among student-athletes who average one attack or more per set. All-Conference First Team member
Tayla Barnes adds 2.52 to go with 0.90 blocks while Sun Conference Libero of the Year
Bianca Grassi tallies 5.54 digs which ranks 17th nationally.
Florida College earned a berth into the 2024 Championships as the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Regular Season and Tournament Champions, holding a 21-8 overall record. The Falcons average 12.49 kills on a .189 hitting percentage with 16.62 digs, 1.81 service aces and 1.73 blocks.
CAC Player of the Year Raquel Teixeira sparks the Falcons on offense and defense behind 3.64 digs and 3.21 kills, adding a team-leading 0.42 service aces while All-Conference First Team member Cassidy Lee averages 0.91 blocks.

St. Thomas (2-3, 1-1 Sun Conference) wraps up its three-game homestand with back-to-back home games after holding Webber to a program-record 34 points in a 67-34 victory on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The Bobcats average 71.4 points on a .402 field goal percentage with 42.6 rebounds, 14.2 assists, 5.2 steals and 2.6 blocks.

Ahmad Johnson leads four Fire that average double-digit points with 17.3, shooting .533 field and .593 from beyond the arc. Nathan Mikkelson pulls down 7.7 boards to go with 12.0 points and 1.0 blocks while Joshua Blazquez and Kyonte Thomas both average 3.83 assists.
Virgin Islands heads to Miami Gardens to kick off their 2024-25 season after being predicted to finish 11th in the Historically Black College and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll. Jalil Langston received All-HBCUAC Preseason Second Team selection after averaging 13.8 points on a .441 clip last season.
