MESA, ARIZONA (February 3, 2024) – The St. Thomas University (STU) Baseball team fell just short last night to #3 Lewis-Clark State. The Bobcats put up three in the top of the ninth, losing by a score of 7-6.
 
 
1^st Inning

• The Warrior bats started hot, as they put up three in the bottom of the first to take the early lead.

 
2^nd Inning

• After back-to-back singles by Angelo Piloto and Chris Schoeller, Lucas Lopez knocked a double which scored Piloto. Warriors 3-11

 
3^rd Inning

• LCS hit a three-run homerun in the bottom of the third to double their lead. Warriors 6-1

 
6^th Inning

• After Alan Caretta hit a single, Rey Hernandez drilled one for a triple to score Caretta. Warriors 6-2
• Later in the inning Christopher Estrada hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Hernandez. Warriors 6-3

 
7^th Inning

• The Warriors added one insurance run. Warriors 7-3

 
9^th Inning

• Matt Granato started it out with a single.
• Robin Fernandez drew a walk.
• Luis Rodriguez was hit by a pitch.
• Angelo Piloto hit a sac fly, scoring Granato. Warriors 7-4
• Chris Schoeller hit a single to left center, which brought in Fernandez to score. Warriors 7-5
• Lucas Lopez hit a sacrifice fly that was able to add one more for the Bobcats.
