WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 30, 2024) – The St. Thomas University (STU) Baseball team defeated the Keiser Seahawks in four straight, to start Sun Conference play 7-1. The Bobcats run ruled the Seahawks in game four, and were led by Jamie Gonzalez who went all seven only giving up five hits. STU returns home on April first for a matchup against NCAA D2 Lynn at 5 p.m.
 
Game One
 
1^st Inning

• In the bottom of the first Keiser jumped out to a 3-0 lead.

3^rd Inning

• The game stayed the same until the top of the third where the Bobcats were able to make in a one run game, thanks to an Angelo Piloto single that brought two home. KU 3-2

4^th Inning

• The Seahawks added two more in the fourth to extend their lead 5-2.

5^th Inning

• Angelo Piloto stayed hot, and knocked a double that brough Luis Rodriguez in. KU 5-3

7^th Inning

• With two on, Luis Rodriguez drilled a double to left center scoring Kendry Noriega. KU 5-4
• Angelo Piloto stepped in the box and hit a single down the right field line, bringing home two Bobcats. STU 6-5
• Christopher Schoeller was able to get the bat on the ball hitting a single to score two more. STU 8-5

8^th Inning

• With Luis Rodriguez on, Robin Fernandez doubled to right center to swap places with him at second. STU 9-5
• Yoel Rojas brought Fernandez home with a single. STU 10-5
• Kesier would add two more in the bottom of the eighth, but the final score would be 10-7 Bobcats.

 
Game Two
 
2^nd Inning

• Christopher Estrada singled to center, and Alan Caretta stepped in the box and blasted a homer to left center to give the Bobcats the early 2-0 lead.
• Keiser however responded with two runs of their own in the bottom of the second to tie the game at two.

5^th Inning

• The game would stay the same until in the top of the fifth Matt Granato hit a double, then Christopher Schoeller put one in play to score him. STU 3-2

6^th Inning

• Christopher Estrada exted the STU lead with a single to score a run. STU 4-2

7^th Inning

• Kesier would try an amount a comeback, by adding a run in the bottom of the seventh but it wouldn't be enough.

 
Game Three
 
1^st Inning

• With three Bobcats on, Angelo Piloto hit a single to give STU a 2-0 lead early.

2^nd Inning

• With Matt Granato on, Kendry Noriega knocked a single to extend the STU lead to 3-0.
• In the bottom of the second, the Seahawks tied the game at three.

4^th Inning

• Keiser made it a two-run game in the fourth. KU 5-3

5^th Inning

• Lucas Lopez started the scoring in the fifth with a single, scoring Piloto. KU 5-4
• Matt Granato then singled up the middle bringing home Caretta and Fernandez. STU 6-5
• Kendry Noriega hit a sacrifice fly to left field to bring Lopez home. STU 7-5

6^th Inning

• Keiser added on more to make it a one run game, but STU would maintain the lead and walk away with the 7-6 victory.

 
Game Four
 
3^rd Inning

• After getting on with a double, Matt Granato was able to work around the bases and score on a wild pitch. STU 1-0

4^th Inning

• Angelo Piloto opened the fourth inning with a moonshot to center field. STU 2-0

6^th Inning

• With some Bobcats on, Matt Granato hit a sac fly to score a run. STU 3-0
• Alan Caretta scored on a wild pitch. STU 4-0
• Kendry Noriega hit a single to score Lucas Lopez. STU 5-0
• Rey Hernandez knocked a single to bring another across. STU 6-0
• Angelo Piloto came back up in the inning, and did damage with a single to score Noriega. STU 7-0

7^th Inning

• With Caretta on, Lucas Lopez tripled down the line to score him. STU 8-0
• Lopez scored on a sac fly from Christopher Schoeller. STU 9-0
• Kendry Noriega hit a two run bomb down the left field line making it 11-0 for the final for STU.
