Peachtree City, Ga. – Continuing their stretch of nationally-ranked opponents to start the 2024 season with two more at the NAIA Atlanta Classic this past weekend, the tied-for-second St. Thomas men's soccer team defeated 13th-ranked Grace College 2-1 on Saturday and No. 25 Lindsey Wilson 3-1 on Monday.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1):  

• Grace took an early 1-0 lead in the 16th minute off a shot from Kyle Holweda 

• Guido Cacciabue connected with Joaquin Domber in the 28 minute to even the score. 

• Bouget Bouzis scored the game-winning goal in the 75 minute off a pass from Aleksa Mugosa.  

NOTEWORTHY (GAME 1): 

• Bouzis scored his first goal of the season off his lone shot attempt. 

• Domber took two shots with both on target. 

• Rodrigo de la Terga stopped three shots. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE (GAME 1): 

• Grace received two cautions while STU earned none. 

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 2):  

• Cacciabue quickly put the Bobcats ahead in the sixth minute. 

• St. Thomas doubled its lead off a strike in the 14 minute. 

• Bouzis extended STU's advantage with a goal in the 26 minute. 

• Lindsey Wilson got on the scoreboard off a Kenn Muendo goal in the 41 minute. 

NOTEWORTHY (GAME 2): 

• Cacciabue and Bouzis combined to score all three goals for the Bobcats. 

• De la Terga stopped two shots while allowing one goal. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE (GAME 2): 

• Both sides took eight shots with three on goal. 

• Lindsey Wilson held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.
