Miami Gardens, Fla. – For the first time this year, we have a Saturday full of athletic events at St. Thomas University. The docket begins with Swimming & Diving hosting Rollins while Men's and Women's Basketball hosts Warner in a Sun Conference doubleheader and Rugby hosts the Bahamas National Team.
 
MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING vs ROLLINS

Taking on Ave Maria and Life the day before in Naples, the Bobcats enter the new year ranked second in Men's and third in Women's. In their previous outing, the IRSC Collegiate Invite, the Men won eight bronze while Adam Conrad used a 1:47.90 time in the 200 Backstroke to place second. On the women's side, Stella Warborn took the gold in the 100 and 200 Breaststroke.

Following a successful fall slate, capped by a commanding 64-20 victory over Ohio State in the CRAA Fall Classic, the Rugby Team welcomes the Bahamas National Team in the second leg of a home-and-home friendly. STU bested Bahamas 81-7 in the first outing between the two sides, part of the Bobcats' undefeated fall that included a victory at the University of Utah and the Florida College Conference 7s Rugby Championship.

St. Thomas (9-5, 3-1 Sun Conference) welcomes Warner riding a three-game winning streak, most recently outlasting Florida National 82-45 on Tuesday, Jan. 7. STU averages 64.9 points on a .370 field goal percentage with 46.0 rebounds, 14.0 assists, 9.1 steals and 3.5 blocks.

Jasmine Worthy leads six Bobcats averaging over six points with 12.3 on a .527 field goal percentage in 18.5 minutes. Sophie Vandyke pulls down a team-leading 9.1 rebounds alongside 2.3 blocks while Joey Delancy dishes out 2.5 assists and Morgan Taylor adds 1.7 steals.

Warner (5-9, 1-3 Sun Conference) hits the road after concluding a five-game homestand with an 85-53 setback against Ave Maria on Wednesday, Jan. 8. The Royals average 63.9 points on a .380 clip with 32.7 rebounds, 12.9 assists, 10.9 steals and 2.3 blocks.

Courtney Logan fuels the Royals on both ends of the court behind 15.4 points, 2.7 assists and 3.6 steals. Bethany Howard joins Logan in double digits with 10.9 points while Julia Gilbert tallies 6.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.

St. Thomas (5-8, 1-3 Sun Conference) returns to the Sunshine State after wrapping up a three-game road swing spanning two states with an 82-77 setback at the College of Coastal Georgia on Saturday, Jan. 4. The Bobcats average 73.1 points on a .428 clip with 37.6 rebounds, 14.2 assists, 5.8 steals and 2.6 blocks.

Esteban Lluberes scores a team-leading 16.8 points, adding a team-high 1.5 steals on the defensive end, with Dalon Dean and Cearius Warren chipping in 15.4 and 10.0 points respectively. Daniel Ogoro dishes out a team-best 3.0 assists while Sean Shore records 7.1 rebounds.

Warner (7-8, 1-3 Sun Conference) treks to Miami Gardens following a 98-86 setback against nationally ranked Ave Maria on Wednesday, Jan. 8. The Royals average 85.1 points on a .467 clip with 31.7 rebounds, 15.9 assists, 9.0 steals and 2.9 blocks.

Blaize Darling Jr. sparks the Royals behind 18.5 points, adding 7.1 rebounds. Jack Voth tallies 3.1 assists with Jonathan Joseph adding 2.6 steals while Joshua Glesil records 1.0 blocks.
