Football's Game At Keiser Named Sun Conference Game Of The Week

Miami Gardens, Fla. – For the second time this season, the eighth-ranked St. Thomas University Football Team is playing in the Sun Conference Game of the Week on Saturday, Oct. 18 in a 6 p.m. contest at No. 2 Keiser University. The Sun Conference will be on-site for the top-10 conference matchup, providing additional promotional and sideline coverage throughout the day.

St. Thomas (4-1, 2-0 Sun Conference) hits the road after besting Warner University 52-6 on Saturday, Oct. 11. The Bobcats boast one of the top defenses in the NAIA, allowing 234.4 yards per game which ranks fifth while allowing 14.40 points versus 43.20 on 424.8 yards via 264.8 in the air and 160 on the ground.

Jaelyn Thomas fuels the offense behind 138.4 all-purpose yards, 19th-most in the country, while Keely Watson throws the ball for 1272 yards and 15 touchdowns and Dreylan Martin rushes for 282 yards and six scores. David Hayes leads a trio of Bobcats with double-digit receptions with 28 for 392 yards and six touchdowns, followed for Jaden Fox Harris who has 24 receptions for 320 yards and four touchdowns.

On the defensive side, Jeremiah Laguerre boasts a team-leading 25 tackles while Trevon Williams has 6.5 tackles for 34 yards lost. Jerome Mitchell Jr. leads a quarter of Bobcats who have multiple interceptions with three.

Keiser (5-0, 2-0 Sun Conference) hosts the Bobcats following a 49-28 victory over Florida Memorial on Saturday, Oct. 11. The Seahawks average 44.5 points off 498.0 yards per game, 273.5 passing and 224.5 rushing, while holding opponents to 18.5 points on 156.8 rushing yards and 174.25 passing.

Shea Spencer quarterbacks the KU offense behind 1029 yards on a .640 completion percentage and 10 scores, with Elisha Edwards catching 21 passes for 278 yards and four touchdowns. Maurico Porcha adds 270 yards on 15 receptions, while Jaden Miller rushes the ball for 401 yards and seven TDs.

Eli Bertrand anchors Keiser's defense behind 32 tackles while Kendrick Burley adds seven tackles for 62 yards lost. Four Seahawks have one interception.

The Bobcats return home to host Southeastern on Saturday, Oct. 25 for a 12 p.m. matchup.
