Miami Gardens, Fla. – Behind a commanding .457 hitting percentage on Wednesday evening, the 14t-ranked St. Thomas University Women's Volleyball Team swept cross-town foe Florida Memorial (25-9, 25-17, 25-8) in Sun Conference action.

• The Bobcats answered a FMU point to start the match with three-straight and held the lead for the rest of the frame, holding their opposition without a run of consecutive points until back-to-back tallies made it 20-9 STU.
• Holding a slim 9-8 lead, the Bobcats created separation behind a 5-0 run and kept the lead above four for the rest of the frame.
• STU scored the initial two points of the third set and led the entire frame.

 
NOTEWORTHY:

• Payton Bertke eclipsed 3,000 career assists in the victory, ending the contest with 3,012 after dishing out 30.
• Tayla Barnes boasted 10 kills on a .600 hitting percentage.
• Isabel Narbutas assisted on five blocks.
