Miami Gardens – Looking to add the final piece for their National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championship run, St. Thomas University's Head Swimming & Diving Coach
Caesar Asadi announced the addition of
Taylor Brittain as the Bobcats' new Diving Coach. Brittain adds National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) experience to the Bobcats as they prepare to take on elite programs from all levels at the Small College Championship Cup.
"We are excited to welcome Taylor to our staff," Asadi said. "Her experience at the Division I level and familiarity with the South Florida diving scene will help us continue the tradition and standard of excellence in everything we do at St. Thomas."
Brittain heads to Miami Gardens from Boca Raton, Fla., where she was a member of the Florida Atlantic University Diving Team. While with the Owls, Brittain was a two-time American Conference All-Academic Team honoree while recording 10 top-10 finishes during her three seasons at FAU. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Master's in Health Administration, concluding her collegiate career with a 3.9 GPA.
No stranger to the area, Brittain prepped at Fort Lauderdale High School where she won the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) 3A Region 4 District 11 Championship and competed in the USA Diving Rising Stars Championships before college.
Brittain will have one of the top divers in the country under her tutelage in
Mireya Bonilla, the 2025 Sun Conference Diver of the Year who placed third at the 2025 NAIA National Championship in the 1 Meter Dive.
The Bobcats head to Columbus, Ga. For the Small College Championship Cup on Thursday, Nov. 20 and continues through Saturday, Nov. 22.
