Miami Gardens – The Sun Conference released its 2025 Women's Soccer All-Conference honorees on Tuesday afternoon, with St. Thomas University having three recipients.
Isabella Penaranda and
Rebecca Louis represented the Bobcats on the First Team while
Julia Ezcurra garnered Second Team accolades.
The Bobcats boast one of the top defenses in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) allowing just 11 goals all season which tied for 12th in the country and first in the Sun Conference. Led by Louis and Penaranda, the Bobcats produced 10 shutouts which propelled Penaranda to the program record for shutouts in a career with 28. Louis and the defense held 10 opponents to under five shots.
It is the second-consecutive year Penaranda received All-Conference accolades, garnering Second Team distinction in 2024.
On the opposite side of the field, Ezcurra sparked the Bobcats' offense in her first season behind eight goals and three assists for 19 points which ties for eighth in the conference. She powered STU to a victory against the New College of Florida on Sept. 16 behind two goals and one assist before contributing a goal and assist against Webber International on Oct. 8.
The Bobcats host Florida Memorial in the opening round of the 2025 Sun Conference Tournament on Wednesday, Oct. 5 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m.
