Mount Vernon, Ga. – Facing a double-digit deficit midway through the third quarter of Thursday's contest, the St. Thomas University Women's Basketball team rallied to prevail over host Brewton-Parker College 57-56.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

BPC opened the second quarter with the initial basket, responding to a pair of Bobcats' free throws with back-to-back baskets to create a double-digit separation at 21-11 with 8:02 remaining in the half. Extending their lead to 11 at 24-13, St. Thomas rallied to make it a one-possession game at 26-23 before a 5-0 run by Brewton-Parker to end the half recreated their double-digit lead at 33-23.

Brewton Parker carried their run into the second half, scoring the opening seven points to create a 40-23 score with 7:56 remaining in the quarter. The Bobcats ended the run with three-straight points, holding the host without a run of consecutive points for the rest of the quarter to go into the final 10 minutes down 48-41.
